-The Roosevelt Institution at Penn State is proud to welcome its faculty advisor, Darryl Farber! Dr. Farber is an accomplished faculty member at the Penn State University College of Engineering, and brings his experience from Cornell University, Harvard University, as well as the National University of Singapore.

  "His current research is on the environmental, societal, and ethical implications of nanotechnology.  In a broader context, he is working on understanding how emerging technologies may contribute to a global sustainable energy and waste system and the societal and ethical implications of those technological systems. He has recently published on the decommissioning of nuclear facilities and is contributing to a series of articles on nuclear technology for the Encyclopedia of Science, Technology, and Ethics.

Additionally, he is working on an update of an economic impact analysis of Penn State University on the Centre Region, and he has become involved recently in understanding the impacts of a proposed local landfill, waste-to-energy facility in Centre County, PA."        The Roosevelt Institution at Penn State is presently recruiting its faculty advisor, and will soon be hosting its constitutional convention. Penn State faculty and students have been very welcoming to the Roosevelt Institution, and for that we thank them. The Roosevelt Institution at Penn State aims to formulate policy at all levels of governance, and is proud to be a member of the nation's first student think tank!
